Tear's primary weapon is the stave, a magical weapon that aids the casting of spells. However, she also equips herself with a much more discrete weapon: hidden underneath the folds of her cloak are daggers.

Although Tear doesn't use her daggers in battle, they play an important role in the plot. For Luke, one of Tear's daggers helped realise his path towards change. After failing to save the people of Akzeriuth and denying responsibility for his actions that lead to the town's destruction, Luke finds himself alone and nearly friendless. Luke battles with his denial and conscience. Through Tear's honest words, Luke faces the truth of his actions and vows to change. He cuts his hair off using one of Tear's daggers to solidify his resolve. ¹

But I was doubtful Tear would believe simple halfhearted words, so I cut my hair. It's not that I really cared about my hair that much, but I wanted to show that I was throwing away my old self.
